Globalisation means that there is more and more interaction between participants of cultures from different backgrounds therefore requiring Cross Cultural Management. A requirement was identified to assist companies with cross-cultural management and dealing with issues of interpretation, communications, emotion and trust.
Whether it be during business negotiations or recruitment, situations may arise whereby there are cross-cultural interactions and either party is unaware of the cultural norms expected from the other. Applying management and training techniques using cross-cultural literature, simulation and role-plays helps develop cross-cultural intelligence thereby increasing the competence of managers when presented with cultural differences (Bücker & Korzilius, 2015).
